Workshop objectives
By the end of the session participants will be able to:
• Develop understanding about ECCE terminologies
• Explore the scope of ECCE and brief timeline of ECCE
• Connect with SDGs in the context of Early Childhood Education Settings
• Create a consortium of ECED professionals and experts for advocacy campaign in various districts in all provinces of Pakistan

Material Display
There will be a display of different Learning Resources developed at IECED with the help of low cost-no cost material. Furthermore, these materials will be focusing all major areas of ECE curriculum for example Language, Mathematics, Essential life skills, Sensory Perceptions, World around us and Art and Crafts. The purpose of this exhibition is to share different ideas with ECE practitioners to improve Classroom teaching Practices.

Facilitators (ECED practitioners):
Ms. Naheed Wasi (Director IECED)
She is the founding director of IECED. She has more than 25 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. She has been involved in ECED specific adult education and capacity building programs offered by National Universities and international donor agencies within Pakistan. She is a graduate from association Montessori international (AMI) and completed her ECED Certificate course from Turkey, Istanbul. She is pioneer resource person in Sindh province for the implementation of Girls primary education development project phase II funded by Asian Bank. She further has the experience in textbook writing for pre-primary level and teachers guide for teaching in primary levels in the context of Pakistan. In past she was also affiliated with Media services such as Reuters and Times Now India as a reporter and News Anchor.

Ms. Salima Al Nasar Surani (Senior Academic Coordinator Degree Programs)
From last 20 years, she is involved in the field of Education and served as an ECE expert in all four provinces of Pakistan. She is a graduate and formal faculty of Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development. She has worked with NGOs and INGO in various capacities focusing Early Childhood Education, Primary education, adult education and research. Currently, she is serving IECED as a Senior Academic Coordinator for Degree Programs.

Ms. Arisha Qayum (Senior Academic Coordinator Diploma and Certificate Courses)
Miss Arisha has a diverse background and has been in Research in Early Child Development, mental health and education. She has completed her courses in Advance Human Development with special focus on Child Development from The Aga Khan University-Human Development Programme. She worked with NGOs and INGOs in different capacities and has developed short course on Early Child Development, and training. Currently she is providing her services as Sr.Coordinatro for Diploma and Certificate courses at IECED.

Co Facilitators:
Workshop will be based on participatory approach and will cover the content through group work, role play and power point presentation. Ms. Midhat, Ms. Mariyam Aziz, Ms. Lubna and Ms. Tabita will provide assistance during workshop and display of learning resources.
